In the ancient past several types of machines were built that were simplistic yet could produce electricity and anti-gravitational effects. One such place was in Ancient Egypt, the Djed Pillar could produce heat and electricity. Here is a picture of one.

By placing cones and spheres inside, the special movement of the ball or balls of weight in accordance with the motion of the wobbling cones would produce electricity. This energy was used to heat them and for other uses.
